Alton Towers is 35 miles / 45 minutes from central Nottingham via the A50. For a family day out you might drive yourself; for a bigger group — birthday, hen do, school trip — a transfer usually makes more sense.
Why a transfer?
- 8-seater minibus with cases carrying 8 adults or 6 adults + 4 kids.
- No parking hassle — Alton Towers charges £8+ for standard parking, more for Express.
- Everyone travels together — no "who's driving?" negotiation, no drink police.
- Fixed price — for a group of 6, works out at a very reasonable per-head cost.
Timing
Alton Towers gates open 10am in main season. Aim for a Nottingham pick-up at 8:30–9am to arrive fresh and ready. For return, we're happy to pick up any time — most groups leave around 6pm after the fireworks/last rides.
