Gatwick's two terminals are 10 minutes apart by the internal shuttle. Not the end of the world if you're an hour early — a disaster if you're not.
South Terminal
The original terminal. Home to easyJet (the biggest carrier at Gatwick), British Airways short-haul, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Vueling, Norwegian, plus TUI charter flights. If you're flying budget European, it's almost always South.
North Terminal
Home to Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, TUI long-haul, Norse Atlantic, Air Transat, JetBlue and most other long-haul operators. Also British Airways long-haul and easyJet Europe long-haul routes.
Rule of thumb
- Short-haul with easyJet, BA, Ryanair, Wizz, TUI European: South.
- Long-haul with Virgin, Emirates, TUI Dreamliner, Norse: North.
- Not sure? Check your boarding pass — terminal is printed on it.
Getting between them
The free inter-terminal shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes, 24 hours a day, and takes about 2 minutes. Add a 10-minute walk buffer either side. Not fun with heavy bags at 4am.
What we do
Tell us the terminal when you book (or give us the flight number and we'll look it up). Our fixed [Nottingham to Gatwick](/airports/gatwick) fare covers either terminal at the same price — no upsell, no extras.
