The single most common reason airport pickups go wrong is luggage. "Four medium cases" means very different things to different people. Here's the realistic picture based on what our drivers load every day.
Saloon (e.g. Skoda Octavia class)
- 2 large hold cases + 2 cabin bags comfortably.
- 3 large cases is possible with soft bags on laps, but not with 4 passengers.
- Best for 1–3 passengers on a normal holiday.
Estate
- 3–4 large cases + cabin bags, or a mix of cases and a folded pushchair.
- The right call for a family of 3–4 with a week's worth of luggage.
MPV (6–8 seats)
- Full passengers = less boot. 8 passengers with 8 large cases will NOT fit in one vehicle — this is the mistake we see most.
- Comfortable reality: 5–6 passengers with 5–6 large cases, or 8 passengers with cabin bags only.
The rule of thumb
Cases + passengers should total no more than the vehicle's seats + 2. If you're above that, book the next size up or ask about a second vehicle — for large groups we can send two cars and it often costs less than people expect.
Tell us at booking
On the booking page there's a luggage field — use it honestly and the quote will only ever show vehicles that can take your party. If you're not sure, the fleet page shows boot photos, or just contact us and we'll tell you straight.
