Ilkeston, Cotmanhay and Kirk Hallam sit around 20 minutes from East Midlands Airport, which puts DE7 among the cheapest transfers on our list. The usual route is the A6096 down through Sandiacre to the A52, then the A453 to the terminal — or straight onto the M1 at junction 25 if the A52 is busy.

Timings that hold up

  • Ilkeston town centre and Cotmanhay: 20 to 22 minutes.
  • Kirk Hallam: 18 minutes.
  • Awsworth and Trowell side: 18 minutes via junction 26.
  • Heanor and Loscoe: 25 to 28 minutes.

Weekday mornings between 08:00 and 09:15 add roughly ten minutes at Sandiacre and the A52 junction. Overnight the run is consistently 18 minutes.
