Plenty of our passengers travel with pets — house moves abroad, pet passports, dropping the dog at a relative's on the way to the airport. Here's how to make it smooth.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, in most cases — but tell us when you book. Some drivers and vehicles are better suited than others, and we need to assign the right car. A quick note in the booking (or a message via the AI chat, which will flag it straight to the operator) is all it takes.
What we recommend
- Cats and small dogs: a secure carrier on the rear seat, belted in.
- Larger dogs: the boot of an estate or MPV with the parcel shelf removed, or a harness on the rear seat.
- Bring a blanket — it protects the seats and smells like home, which keeps nervous animals calmer on a long motorway run like Nottingham to Stansted (about 115 miles, roughly 2 hours).
Airport drop-offs with pets
If the pet is just along for the ride to wave you off, no problem. If they're flying, check the airline's animal cargo rules well in advance — pets almost never travel in the cabin on UK departures, and the cargo drop is often a different building from the passenger terminal. Tell us and we'll plan both stops.
The practical bit
Mention the pet at booking on the booking page or via contact. If the AI chat can't answer something about your animal, it'll take your phone number and an operator will call you back.
