Sutton-in-Ashfield sits right on the M1 corridor, which makes Manchester Airport a straightforward 90-minute run — junction 28 north, across to the M60, and into the airport from the north-west.

Realistic timings from NG17

  • Overnight: 85 to 90 minutes.
  • Weekday morning peak: 105 to 120 minutes, mostly M60.
  • Friday afternoon: allow two hours.

Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Skegby and Stanton Hill are within a few minutes of the same clock. Mansfield adds five.

Manchester's 04:00 to 06:00 security peak is the busiest in the North, so charters and long-haul want three hours at check-in:
